Skills Workshop with KPMG

Boots to Books teamed up with KPMG to deliver a live skills workshop to members of the military community! During the event, 20+ KPMG volunteers presented on corporate communication skills, the different engagements their firm does, and advice they have for job-seekers. The event was a fantastic hour and a half of upskilling, answering tough questions, and uniting to serve the military community.

Coaching Event with LinkedIn Volunteers

On November 17th Boots to Books is working with 40 coaches from LinkedIn who are doing 1-on-1 coaching sessions with job-seeking members of the military community. During the event, attendees will be shown how to optimize their profile to stand out to recruiters and effectively leverage the platform in an intimate environment!

Jobs in Advertising with Publicis Media

On February 13th, Boots to Books was joined by three Publicis Groupe team members who shared about their company, different careers in advertising, and what jobs they are hiring for now! Publicis is one of the world's largest advertising firms, working with the most exciting companies. The event welcomed over 100 attendees and lasted for over an hour with attendee questions! To make the event even better, our team gave away ~$2,000 in certifications to attendees to conduct professional development!

Chimeria Gonzalez


As an Air Force Veteran and Military Spouse, Chimeria understands the tumultuous military life and has gained exposure to a variety of industries because of it. Her background includes hospitality, computer information systems, accounting, business management, and real estate. Once returning to her home state of Texas, she was able to pivot into her true passion of Cybersecurity. Chimeria now works as CSI Security Analyst at Abnormal Security. Chimeria joined Boots to Books after seeing what Peter and Aubrey were accomplishing and how she aligned with their vision. She enjoys riding horses and shooting whenever given the chance.

Aubrey Sine


Aubrey graduated from Chapman University in May of 2021 with a B.S. in Data Analytics. Behind him, Boots to Books makes data-driven decisions to better the non-profit and help as many Veterans as we can. Aubrey started a full-time role as a Solutions Architect for Twilio Segment. He helps troubleshoot and consult business-specific use cases for data collection and helps implement the software for numerous customers. Aubrey likes to read non-fiction and web design in his free time.

Peter Cline


Peter is an Army Infantry Veteran and the fastest winner ever of the Fort Benning Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year Competition. He separated from the Army in December, 2020 and founded Boots to Books alongside Aubrey. Since separating, he has been accepted to Chapman University, in the honors program with an academic scholarship. While studying and growing B2B, Peter has managed teams on a congressional campaign, consulted for a variety of other nonprofits, and now works in marketing and financial planning. Peter loves to exercise and read world news in his free time.

Thomas Gill


Tom is a service-disabled veteran aviator. After retiring in 2021 from the US Coast Guard as a Commander, he struggled to find his post military path. Deciding not to go back to flying, he started to pursue his love for technology and began studying Cyber Security. When this seemed to not go in the direction he foresaw, he focused on his skills as a leader and obtained his Project management Professional (PMP), Professional SCRUM master (PSM), Certified Scrum Product owner and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certifications to help visionaries make their dreams a reality as a Chief of Staff. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the United States Coast Guard Academy and a Masters of Science in Homeland Security from the National School of Quality Management.
